Other health disabilities: when does a child need medical diagnosis instead of IEP instead of 504?
Other health disability category is a disability category according to US federal law, the Disability Education Act (IDEA). The IEP is more comprehensive than Plan 504. Only a part of the IEP. IEPs include annual objectives and objectives related to the specific service provision related to core content standards and specific service providers and / or related service staff (eg occupational therapists, speech therapists and behavioral specialists). Although both are based on US federal laws with similar procedural safeguards, students with significant disability behaviors generally serve the IEP better.
