Brain Food – Improving the academic performance of children with optimal nutrition

In the age of lunchables, cheesestrings and comfortably processed snacks, it's no wonder that over 26% of Canadian children are overweight or obese. Many children are now faced with the early emergence of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and especially mental health and cognitive problems such as ADHD, poor concentration, and reduced learning ability. For many years, a number of studies combine inadequate nutrition with the above conditions, including poor scientific performance.

The Food Brain Relationship

Human brain, though extremely complex, works on a simple basis – it requires a large amount of nutrients, including vitamins and the optimal functioning of minerals.
